Why don't you list fixed prices?
Every engagement differs in data, use cases, deployment target and compliance scope, so we price per engagement after a short scoping conversation. You get a clear, fixed-scope proposal before any commitment — no open-ended time-and-materials.
What does a Pilot typically involve?
A fixed-scope engagement on a single high-value use case — private data preparation, fine-tuning on Apertus, an evaluation report against agreed metrics (including a fine-tune vs. retrieval ablation), and a production roadmap. It's designed to prove value on your own data and de-risk the decision to go to production.
What happens to our data in a Pilot?
If the Pilot runs in your environment, nothing ever leaves it. If you opt for our dedicated single-tenant Swiss cloud environment, your data is processed under a data-processing agreement and, at project end, all data and derived weights are deleted or handed over to you — your choice at scoping. Production and Air-gapped systems always run inside your own environment.
Is there an ongoing cost after we deploy?
Production systems include an ongoing platform and support component — hosting or on-prem support, monitoring, evaluation and a maintenance cadence under a support agreement. We scope this transparently as part of the Production or Air-gapped proposal.
Do we own the model?
Yes. Because we build on the open Apertus model and fine-tune on your data inside your environment, you retain ownership and control of the resulting model and can run it independently. A documented handover is a deliverable in every engagement — your exit strategy is part of the scope.
